Ello 010109! haha.. had quite a relaxing day today.. half of the day was spent sleeping and watching anime.. den had dinner with my darling piggy.
we went straight to sakae sushi at the frontier community centre, the branch near jurong point to use up my 20 dollars cash voucher i asked for during branch christmas exchange party. Before we went in to devour our dinner we saw this offer about having a 15% rebate if you dine for more than 35 bucks sgd. Not a bad deal so we went in and was told that this offer was valid together with our cash vouchers.. ha so hungry piggy and i start whacking plates to make sure we hit 35 dollars on our bill..
we had lots and lots of salmon karaage, salmon sushi, fried tofu, soft shell crab handrolls, gyoza piggy ordered one extra bowl of rice to go with all the side dishes too. ha so for 35 bucks we ordered more than 12 plates worth of food and had a $$ worth dinner.
forgot that i'm blogging now so i forgot to take pictures ha.. breakdown of dinner cost:
total bill: $36.o9
bill rebate: $5 cash voucher (they round to nearest 5)
used vouchers: $20
o/S bill: $16.09
so if we counted our $5 voucher we effective paid bout 5 plus each for dinner =) yummy.
but the voucher was only usable in the very same branch and expiry date only a month later. Piggy said they are very good at making biz cos we have to keep coming back to eat more sushi.. but den later we decided they shouldn't have it their way so next time we will come and just eat 2 plates of sushi which will cost round 5 bucks and leave paying a couple of cents for charity haha...
after dinner we proceed to exercise our fats away by going to explore NTU on a in promptu decision.. piggy heard about this very big NTU lake that was gaining in historical value and fantastical aroma ha so it made me curious to go have a look... after driving around for some time in the big campus we end up walking around this park of NTU? tot it'll be near the lake but a pity it wasn't.. instead there were nice pavilions with couples cuddling in and we saw this big 1955 南洋大学 gate and words of inspiration scribbled on the grass patch facing this gate.

coincidentally this was tchs slogan too! haha no wonder kokwei's so into ntu.. we walked one round in the park and came out shortly because it was drizzling.. den we looked at the map to see where the lake was but gave up in the end because it was running late..
nice piggy drove princess around for a while before we left for home, sigh.. gotta work tmr! but
good such that i work tmr and sat den i'll be off from 4th to 6th for my bday celebration..
